Tyler Argento
Sports were first introduced to me at the age of three through swim lessons and sparked a passion in my younger self. Through elementary school, middle school, and high school, I played field hockey, basketball, and figure skated competitively. I had the privilege of being a part of an extremely strong field hockey program that went to states every year, a competitive basketball team that won several championships, competed in figure skating both individually and on theater teams that traveled the entire East Coast, and had the opportunity to experience pair skating and loved every moment of it.
In college, I stayed active through intramural sports, horseback riding and showing. It was here at my campus gym where I was introduced to structured strength training and mobility work through weightlifting, yoga, and group fitness classes - this changed how I saw fitness. Unfortunately, during my senior year of college I tore my ACL and meniscus, and that’s when everything shifted. I knew my approach to fitness had to evolve, that was the beginning of PowerFlow before I even realized it.
Fitness has always been my passion, but has also been tied to my own personal struggles. I’ve battled with my weight for as long as I can remember, which was hard to accept because I was excelling in sports, winning awards, captaining my basketball team, and competing successfully in figure skating. No matter how good I was, I often felt like I didn’t “look the part.” That’s when nutrition became such an important piece of my journey. I’ve learned the hard way how crucial it is, not only for results, but for mental and emotional health.
Fitness is my obsession, my passion, and my purpose. It’s shaped my life since childhood, and now my mission is to share that passion by helping as many people as possible build strength, confidence, and sustainable habits that truly last.
Coaching has also been a constant in my life. I had an early introduction coaching figure skating lessons at age 12 and always dreamed of becoming a coach. Today, I’ve coached thousands of in-person sessions and now work as a hybrid coach, offering both online and virtual training.
Background
Fitness has been part of my life since I was a kid, through years of playing competitive sports, coaching, and earning my degree in Sports Administration and Exercise Science. I’ve coached thousands of in-person sessions and now bring that same experience into hybrid coaching online and virtually. Coaching has always been at the core of who I am, and fitness has been my passion for as long as I can remember.
My background in powerlifting began after my ACL and meniscus injury in college. That was when it really clicked for me that strength training, resistance training, and mobility weren’t just about performance. They were the key to living a high-quality, pain-free life. I knew if I built muscle and got stronger, I could keep my body healthy, mobile, and resilient, and even feel like I never had a knee injury in the first place. The stronger I got, the more I realized lifting was the bread and butter not only for strength but also for body composition and even weight loss. It wasn’t about hours of cardio or back-to-back group fitness classes. It was building muscle that truly changed how my body looked and felt.
This realization became addicting. Around age 27 or 28, I saw that the more consistent I was with weight training, the stronger and leaner I became, and I finally started to achieve the results I’d been chasing for years. That love for strength training naturally led me into powerlifting. The athlete in me wanted an outlet, and powerlifting gave me that: the chance to keep pushing myself, competing, and having fun with it. About a year into lifting heavy consistently, I decided to step on the platform and compete. Competing reawakened the competitive side of me I’d had my whole life, and I instantly knew it was something I wanted to keep doing.
Today, powerlifting comes in seasons for me, but it’s always part of my training. I plan to do more competitions in the future, and I truly love coaching others in powerlifting, whether they want to compete or just get stronger. Powerlifting is such a unique and empowering sport, and I love teaching it to people who are curious about lifting heavy. But with that said, PowerFlow isn’t just about powerlifting. At its heart, PowerFlow is for everyday people, busy professionals, and anyone who wants to feel better, stronger, and more confident in their own life. I make fitness simple, sustainable, and fun, and I help clients build habits and routines that evolve with them over time. My goal is always to set people up for success in the long run so they feel good moving through life with the tools and foundation we build together.

WHY Powerflow Fit?
Focus on Strength + Mobility
At PowerFlow, my focus is on building strength and mobility together because I believe they are the foundation of living a long, healthy, and confident life. Strength training isn’t just about lifting heavier weights. It’s about building muscle, protecting your joints, and keeping your body resilient so you can move well at any age. Mobility work goes hand in hand with that, helping you stay flexible, prevent injuries, and feel good in your body every single day.
I train clients of all ages, and I’ve seen firsthand that age is truly just a number. Some of my older clients are stronger, more consistent, and more resilient than people decades younger, and that inspires me every day. Combining strength and mobility has the power to change not only how people perform in the gym, but also how they move and feel in their daily lives. My goal is to help clients of any age move better, get stronger, and create a body that can handle whatever life throws at them.
Whether you’re chasing performance goals or simply want to feel better, PowerFlow makes strength and mobility practical, sustainable, and empowering.
Custom Approach for clients
No two clients are the same, which is why every program I build is customized to fit the individual. I take into account each client’s goals, lifestyle, schedule, training experience, and even current limitations or injuries to design an approach that feels realistic and achievable. My goal is to make fitness work for people, not force people to change their entire lives just to make fitness work.
This custom approach means clients get the accountability and support they need, while also learning the tools to succeed on their own. I help them create habits and routines that not only deliver results now, but evolve with them as their lives change. Whether it’s adjusting nutrition, modifying a workout for travel, or working around an injury, I make sure every client feels confident, supported, and set up for success.
